Changing behaviour
Training has to change behaviour – you want people to do the right thing as a consequence of undergoing the training. A key part of achieving this is striking the right tone and voice. I make sure it is authoritative without being bossy, instructional without being bullying, and entertaining enough to keep trainees interested.
This is particularly useful for businesses with a larger number of employees or a regular turnover of staff – such as social care or seasonal employers.
