'Specials'
This is the name I give to work that doesn't fit into a category. I'll take them on and work out a bespoke solution for you. What sort of thing counts as a special? - well, it could be anything that needs some analysis, some logic and some business experience.
For example, a client needed a questionnaire that would attract potential customers. He'd tried writing it himself, but had found that a combination of lack of time and lack of objectivity made it very difficult to do. I didn't have any direct experience nor knowledge of his particular field of business, but I came up with the goods -
- I first wrote a brief that he could pull apart and rewrote it until he was happy that it crystallised what he wanted...
- ...then I researched the area so that I could see the world as a potential customer would see it...
- ...then I developed the questionnaire, rewriting it until he was happy with it
An additional requirement was a scoring system - I worked out a weighting for each answer that would help him place a value on each potential customer.
Result - happy client and sales lead generation mechanic ready to go.
