Affordable

I work from home to keep costs down. I do as much of the work myself as possible – the main exception being graphic design, where I work with a highly-experienced freelance designer.

After an initial meeting, I’ll give you a detailed response including a fixed-price proposal. I charge by the project, rather than charging hourly rates (except in particular cases, for example if a client uses me to help at exhibitions or customer meetings). I cross-charge everything I buy at cost – I don’t charge a mark-up.

I charge a fee for my time and expertise, and tell you what it is going to be in advance.

This way of working may be unusual, but I think it’s fairer. It removes the incentive for me to make money out of you by stringing projects out, or by persuading you to spend more.
